On the evening of January 23, the opening ceremony of Zhuotian Town's first "Huge Cup" Village Basketball League was held at the Xiangtou Village National Fitness Sports Ground.

The event was attended by Liu Deyin, Chairman of Zhuotian Town's People's Congress. Liu Zeyuan, Member of the Zhuotian Town Party Committee and Director of the Tingnan United Police Station, Qiu Jianping, Deputy Mayor of Zhuotian Town; Lai Hongjie, Head of the Longyan Branch of Xiamen Huge Energy Stock Co., Ltd. Gu Huowang, President of the Zhuotian Town Pig Farming Industry Association, Lai Nan, President of the Zhuotian Town Basketball Association, and several village Party branch secretaries.

Chairman Liu Deyin emphasized that Zhuotian Town has attached great importance to sports and health initiatives in recent years, achieving remarkable progress. In 2024, leveraging the Central Lottery Public Welfare Fund Project, the town constructed a comprehensive national fitness venue in Xiangtou Village, providing residents with an excellent space for leisure, entertainment, and physical fitness. He expressed hope that this basketball league would encourage the town's residents to embrace sports and fitness, build resilience, strengthen their bodies, and unite the community's spirit of hard work and entrepreneurship, driving Zhuotian's high-quality development.

The tournament features 10 teams from various areas of Zhuotian Town and township-level organizations, competing over five days from January 23 to January 27, 2025 (the 24th to the 28th day of the lunar calendar).
